Ten Moving Do's and Don'ts.

You move into a new home. You have already chosen a moving company that is up to your standards. And after? A planning job, work, work and more work than what is. Even if you hire a professional mover, wait to get your hands dirty again. That's no reason to fret, though. There is much help available, especially online. Here are a couple of moving general and Don'ts to get started.

Do not start early. Plan your move a couple of months before hand. Once you choose a moving company to go with, ask them for advice. Paquet household and personal items that you will not need immediately. You can also consider informing your service providers and utilities in advance.
Do not make a list. Write down everything that is related to your move. Believe me, you'll thank yourself later. Household items you pack for that notify your move, list them all down. While you're there, why not make a table and well organized?
Do stock up on materials. You do not want to go to the hardware store in the middle of your package. Save yourself some trouble and buy materials mobile you need (and some more) in a release. Take special note of packing tapes and bubble envelopes, as they tend to run out quickly. If there remains to spare at the end of your move, you can always give them away or keep them for later use.
Do not get help. Of course, you can pack your own stuff, but where's the fun in that? Call your closest friends and ask for some of their time. Not only will this help you physically, the company would also help ease your stress and worries about your next move.
Be there the day of the move. Make sure you are ready when the movers arrive. This way, you can switch specific instructions for certain items. If you can not be there, so a trusted person to take your place.
Do not rush. Think before you act. Having a couple of breathing and relax. Once you have made yourself, plan your actions. It would help a lot if you make a list of things to do and organize in order of priority.
Do not expect too much of your movers. Yes, you will pay them (and hopefully pay good), but there also some things you should take care of. Do not be angry against them to screw it up. It is best that you contact your moving company and ask for advice.
Do not be too thrifty. Times are tough, I know, but sometimes it is worth investing money on something as important as your move. You could pat on the back to get a good deal on moving boxes at second hand, next thing you know your plasma TV is lying on the concrete because the given box. The point is that if you want to save on your move, do what is good.
Do not overfill. Do not try to do everything you own with you. Evaluate each item before deciding packing. Once you have sorted the things you will not need to have a garage sale or give them to your local charity.
